Back in 2023, I had an initial call with an MBA consultant who told me I’d have a very difficult time getting into a top 10 program with my “basic” banking background unless I had some extraordinary “commitment to service” narrative outside of work. This was very discouraging.

 

BUT when I came to Hillary after I completed my testing, I immediately appreciated her positive demeanor. She reframed the process for me: this wasn’t about inventing a new story, it was about positioning my real experience in a compelling way. And she made the branding process surprisingly fun!

 

There are SO many questions that come up during the MBA application journey, and I truly can’t imagine going through it alone. Even just the emotional support before interviews made a big difference.

 

In the end, I was accepted to four out of five schools and will be heading to HBS next year… despite that “basic” banking background. I couldn’t have done it without Hillary and her team!
